The Way, The Truth And The Life (Ted Richley)
Such a long time ago, I still remember the old days,
I was nothing but lucky, things going their ways.
Hearts beating together, two minds in harmony,
great feelings bound to last for eternity.
But the stars we had longed for, were too far and the light,
we had thought would lead us, was lost out of sight.
The stars came a-tumblin' at the end of the show,
till one day it happened, that I got to know.
There's only one love that will last eternally,
true love pure as spring water, and may everyone see,
the light that will guide you and help you survive,
you will find it in Jesus, the Way, the Truth and the Life.
That's why I believe in Him, the one who set me free,
pulled me out of the darkness, takes every burden from me,
so forever I'll trust Him, He'll never leave me alone,
through life's stormy waters I know He'll bring me home.
So let me sing of that one love, that'll last eternally,
it's the love of the Good Lord, and may everyone see,
the light that will guide you straight to paradise,
if you count on Jesus, the Way, the Truth and the Life,
and I count on Jesus,
